
Board of Directors
Seven Oaks Classical School is governed by a local board of directors. The Board of Directors is the governing body of the Seven Oaks Classical School. Its primary purpose is ensuring the effective, faithful execution of the school's mission, namely, "to train the minds and improve the hearts of young people through a rigorous classical education in the liberal arts and sciences, with instruction in the principles of moral character and civic virtue." The Board is ultimately accountable for the academic, financial, legal, and operational performance of the school.
Meet the Team

Jamie Crowhurst, President
Colonel Jamie Crowhurst retired from the US Air Force after 30 years of service. He is a command pilot with 4,200+ flying hours in multiple aircraft types. His 15 military assignments included command tours in garrison and deployed as he participated in operations around the globe. He also served multiple higher headquarters including as Senior Defense Official/Defense Attaché at the US Embassy in Sofia, Bulgaria. Following retirement Colonel Crowhurst served as a Senior Aerospace Instructor for the Owen Valley High School Air Force Junior ROTC program. Additionally, he served as Board President for the Boys & Girls Club of Bloomington and continues to serve as a Board Ambassador. He is an elder at Sherwood Oaks Christian Church and serves on their Global Outreach team.
Jamie joined the Seven Oaks School Board in 2022 to support the school’s rigorous classical education and instruction in moral character and civic virtue. He became Board President in February of 2024.
Jamie received a Bachelors of Science from the USAF Academy, a Masters of Military Arts from the USAF Air Command and Staff College, and a Master of Arts from Webster University. He was also a National Defense Fellow at the Congressional Research Service.

Matt Wolf, Vice President
Matt Wolf is the Associate Director of Information Technology and Data Management for the Indiana Conference of the United Methodist Church. In this role, he has implemented innovative technology strategies that have streamlined operations, improved accountability, and optimized costs by consolidating systems and standardizing infrastructure. His leadership has enhanced the efficiency and reliability of organizational technology systems, directly contributing to mission success and operational sustainability.
Matt has dedicated his leadership and expertise to fostering educational and organizational excellence. As a founding board member of Seven Oaks Classical School, he has played an instrumental role in the school's growth and development. Initially serving as Vice President and later leading as President for over seven years, Matt helped to secure essential resources and facilities improvements that supported the school's growth to three times its original size..
Matt earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University's Kelley School of Business, specializing in Management Information Systems. A proud father of six, he finds joy in outdoor activities, hiking, and family life, reflecting the strong values of stewardship and service he brings to every endeavor.

Jazzmin Vegeler, Secretary
Jazzmin Vegeler has been employed as a Mental Health Technician at Bloomington Meadows Hospital since 2014 and she has served as a Case Manager there since 2021. These roles require her to work directly with patients and monitor their behavior. Jazzmin is also responsible for assisting with various treatment activities and helping patients and their families. Prior to this, Ms. Vegeler was a Case Manager at Park Center Inc in Fort Wayne. Ms. Vegeler attended Indiana University – Purdue University in Fort Wayne, Indiana and graduated in 2004. She has a B.S. in Psychology and is a Lifetime member of Psi-Chi, The International Honor Society in Psychology, serving as Vice-President from 2002-2003.
As a founding board member of Seven Oaks Classical School, Jazzmin has played an instrumental role in the school's growth and development. She was instrumental in the school’s initial charter authorization and currently serves as the Board Secretary.

Jerry L. Towle, Treasurer
Jerry L. Towle, a banking professional with over 41 years of experience in the financial industry. Raised in Southern Indiana, Jerry developed an early passion for finance, which guided his career path.
Jerry's banking journey began shortly after he earned his degrees in Economics and Banking, quickly ascending through various roles due to his analytical skills and dedication. Over his career, Jerry has held numerous significant positions within respected financial institutions, including his role as Senior Vice President and Senior Loan Officer with a focus on commercial and business lending. He has worked extensively in both the Indiana and Chicago markets, gaining a broad perspective and invaluable experience in the banking sector.
Known for his strategic vision and innovative solutions, Jerry has been pivotal in driving growth and implementing advanced financial technologies. His expertise spans risk management, investment banking, and customer relations.
Outside his professional endeavors, Jerry is deeply committed to community service and philanthropy. He has served on numerous nonprofit boards and committees, including his role as a proud board member and board treasurer for Seven Oaks Classical School. Jerry strongly believes in the value of classical education and its role in shaping well-rounded, informed individuals.

Brian D. Anderson
Brian Anderson has over twenty-five years of experience in the charter school community and brings a broad perspective to his role as a business consultant for charter schools and other nonprofits. He spent eleven years in Colorado, providing business services to charter schools and working at the Colorado Department of Education (CDE) in the Schools of Choice Unit. Brian’s primary responsibility with CDE was running the Colorado Business Managers Network. After moving to the Midwest to be closer to family, Brian became active in the Indiana charter school community while working for IFF in Chicago, IL. There, he was involved in charter school facility 2
lending in a four-state Midwest region. In Indiana, Brian has experienced charter schools from multiple sides, working with schools and boards on their business needs and working for Ball State University’s Office of Charter Schools in a financial oversight capacity. Currently, Brian consults with over 25 individual schools as the Finance Director for the Center for Innovative Education Solutions. He continues to consult with charter school authorizers and other nonprofits, primarily in Indiana.
Brian attended North Park University in Chicago, IL and graduated with a B.S. in Accounting with a minor in Spanish.

Terry L. English
Terry English has practiced law since 1979 and has handled over 25,000 civil and criminal cases in Bloomington and South Central Indiana. Before enrolling in law school, Mr. English worked as the associate news editor of the Bloomington Herald-Times newspaper and taught advanced newspaper reporting at the IU School of Journalism.
Mr. English and his wife Carla have aided in the establishment and promotion of Seven Oaks Classical School since 2013. They were both founding board members and he is currently providing legal counsel to the board of directors. Additionally, in December of 2024, Carla became one of two inaugural Emeritus Board members.
Mr. English graduated with a B.A in Journalism from Indiana University and eventually went to receive his J.D from Indiana University’s Mauer School of Law in 1979. English continues to remain active in the journalistic community and serves on the board of directors at the Indiana Journalism Hall of Fame.

Donovan Garletts
Donovan Garletts is the President of Indiana Limestone Fabricators and has served in this capacity since June of 2020 when he and his wife Kristina purchased the business. Prior to this Donovan served as Assistant Superintendent of Greencastle Community School Corporation for three years. Initially he focused on curriculum development and instruction and later finance and operations. Prior to this role, Donovan spent seven successful years at Notre Dame Elementary and Marquette Catholic High School in Michigan City. He taught social studies and physical education, served two years as the schools’ advancement director, then Dean of the High School and subsequently Principal of the Elementary school. During his tenure, he also led a dramatic turnaround in the boys basketball program, taking a struggling program to a 117-64 record while winning four sectionals, three regionals, two semi-states and one state title.
Donovan joined the Seven Oaks School Board in 2022 to continue his dedication to quality education and under his leadership the board established a development committee
Donovan holds a Doctorate of Philosophy from Indiana State University, a Master of Science from Indiana University, and a Bachelor of Science from Indiana University.

Lindsey Weaver
Lindsey Weaver has been a Hearing Specialist at the Monroe County Community School Corporation since 2009. Ms. Weaver has a deep love for her current position and enjoys providing education for the deaf and hard of hearing. Also, she utilizes American Sign Language to communicate with her students. She is extremely passionate about education and strongly believes that all children will benefit from receiving a rigorous education. Additionally, she feels that structure and school culture help foster a virtuous and exceptional character. In 2015, she helped to found Seven Oaks Classical School as the Founding Board President but now serves as a Director. She attended Hanover College in Hanover, Indiana and graduated in 2001 with a B.A. in Philosophy and Anthropology. Later, she attended New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Ms. Weaver graduated in 2008 with her M.Ed. in Communication Disorders, specializing in Deaf Education.
