High School
“Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time.”
– Thomas Edison
Seven Oaks began its high school in 2017 with a small 9th grade class. Today, the high school program at Seven Oaks offers a rich, shared experience that provides students with a solid foundation, wherever life takes them.
Program Distinctives
A small school environment: Class sizes are in the mid-twenties. At full capacity, we anticipate an average graduating class of around 50. That means that students are not lost in the crowd. Every student is seen as a person and has the opportunity to make a significant contribution to the life of the school.
A liberal arts and sciences core: Our students enjoy a rigorous curriculum that provides a solid foundation for whatever future work or study they go on to pursue.
Opportunities for leadership and service: With all grades under one roof, the older students have opportunity to assist and encourage the younger, as well as take initiative for developing the school's clubs and athletics programs.
Life after High School
The high school education builds on the foundations laid by the Grammar School.
The aims are truly noble: to speak what is true, to do what is good, and to love what is beautiful.
The education is also useful. It serves as an excellent preparation for whatever students go on to do after high school. That is because it helps students excel in the most essential skills: reading, writing, thinking, and speaking.
Seven Oaks students will graduate with a Core40 Diploma. Those who keep up their grades will graduate with Academic Honors.
Seven Oaks students are able to participate in Indiana's 21st Century Scholars program.
Colleges take note of the courses a student takes. Classical charter schools have an excellent track record in college admissions.
Our post-graduation counselor begins meeting individually with students beginning in Eighth Grade to begin a conversation about the students’ interests and skills and explore ideas for life after high school. Every graduate who has wanted to go to college has been able to go. We have seen graduates go into a trade or into the military.
Student Council
The Seven Oaks Classical School Student Council exists to provide opportunities to high school students to aid in the advancement of the school’s mission by working toward a culture of intellectual and moral growth, friendship, and service. The council is made up of five officers and eight representatives, who meet weekly to discuss and develop plans for establishing a robust student culture across the entire student body.

In addition, they will prepare an oral presentation. The confidence that students build will prepare them for college, a career, and life.

YouScience
Youscience is an aptitude based assessment for students that helps them to understand what kinds of careers might interest them. The assessments take the form of fun, online puzzles and games and the results create a personalized profile for each student. Seven Oaks Students are asked to complete their YouScience assessment in the winter of their Junior year. Students can now access their YouScience portal with assessments and results through their scoir profile. Click here for a short video on how YouScience works.
