Fine Arts

Art & Music

A classical education is a humane education. One of the ways it seeks to cultivate the whole human person is through the integration of art and music into the curriculum.

  • A Defined Curriculum Focused on Masterworks

Beginning in kindergarten, students take up a study of the fine arts. Instruction in the fine arts follows a defined curriculum that spans not only performance, but also the history and theory of art and music. They will develop a discriminating ear and eye as they analyze masterworks from every era.

  • Cross-Curricular Connections

The experience is made still richer by cross-curricular connections. Many of the topics covered in music or art connect to what students are reading in literature or history.

Showcasing Students’ Work

Students have opportunity to share their work with the broader community. Each semester, our K-8 students, as well as the high school chorus, prepare a concert. Similarly, K-8 students, as well as high schoolers taking an art elective, prepare an annual art show.

By making a contribution, you can support various creative initiatives such as art projects, music concerts, and the purchase of supplies. Your assistance will be highly valued and appreciated.
