The term "Lyceum" hearkens back to Aristotle's school in ancient Athens, but also to the American Lyceum movement, which aimed to provide adults with opportunities for intellectual engagement and public discourse.
Seven Oaks Classical School is excited to announce a new endeavor, “The Lyceum: A conversation between ancient wisdom and modern science.” The Lyceum series is designed to advance the mission of the school by inviting speakers to campus to share their expertise with the whole school community — students, teachers, and parents. The Lyceum will explore a wide range of topics, but each in its own way will connect timeless principles with contemporary science and technology.
