Environmental Science Club
The goal of the environmental science club is to give students an opportunity to get involved
with the stewardship of their environment within the school and around the local community.
Together, we will embark upon projects to further our understanding of the impact that we have
on the environment and best practices to contribute to our surroundings in a positive way.
Examples of projects include planting a native garden, building a water capture system, and
setting up a compost system. In addition to projects, time will be spent simply interacting with
nature by going to local parks to learn about native flora and fauna. Activities may include, tours
of state parks and bird watching. There will be no fees for this club, but there is limited room! We hope to have your student join us for our weekly Tuesday meetings from 3:45-4:45 p.m.!
