Head Girls Varsity Basketball Coach Announced

Matthew Box has been announced as the next head basketball coach for the Lady Firehawks Varsity Basketball team. Matthew most recently coached with the Seven Oaks Boys Basketball team last year as Coach Bradford’s assistant coach.

While in high school, Matthew played varsity football and basketball. After high school, Matthew attended Indiana University where he studies education and coached football at Bloomington High School South. Currently, Matthew is a high school social studies teacher at Martinsville High School. He also coaches football and baseball at Martinsville High School.

Matthew will look to improve upon the Lady Firehawks two-win season. The Lady Firehawks will be returning all of their players, as there were no seniors rostered on the 2022-23 team.
