Seven Oaks approved for full IHSAA membership beginning in 2026–2027
ELLETTSVILLE, Ind. — Indiana High School Athletic Association has officially approved Seven Oaks Classical School for full membership beginning with the 2026–2027 school year, marking a major milestone in the continued growth of the school’s athletics program.
On Tuesday, May 5, Seven Oaks Athletic Director Tommy Weakley presented before the IHSAA Executive Board as part of the school’s final membership review process. Following the presentation, the Executive Board approved Seven Oaks for full membership status.
The approval concludes a successful three-year provisional membership period that began during the 2023–2024 school year. As a result, Seven Oaks student-athletes will, for the first time in school history, be eligible to compete in IHSAA state tournament competition in boys soccer, girls volleyball, boys and girls cross country, boys and girls basketball, boys and girls wrestling, and boys and girls track and field.
“This is an exciting step forward for Seven Oaks athletics and a special opportunity for our student-athletes to represent our school at the state level,” the school shared in a statement.
School leadership expressed gratitude to the many individuals who helped make the achievement possible, including the student-athletes whose dedication, resilience, and sportsmanship helped establish the foundation of the program. Appreciation was also extended to coaches, families, faculty, and staff who supported the transition from club-level activities into competitive athletics programs.
Special recognition was given to Tommy Weakley, Jacob Box, and Elaine Bollhorst for their leadership in building the athletics program and strengthening the school’s relationship with the IHSAA.
