Danielle Jones

Coach Jones came to Seven Oaks in 2020 as a math and science teacher and quickly incorporated herself in the athletic realm. She has coached the varsity volleyball team for four years and has greatly enjoyed watching the creation and growth of the middle school program as well. After one season of coaching the 7/8 girls and Varsity girls basketball teams in the 20-21 season, she founded the track team with Coach McCarthy and has watched as the team grow from only 16 athletes its first year to over 30 athletes now.

In her words, "The best part of coaching is seeing the joy when athletes accomplish something they thought was impossible, whether it be making an overhand serve or setting a new PR. My goal for athletes is for them to realize that small efforts compound slowly at first, but you will always eventually see the natural outcome of your exertion, whether it's the outcome you wanted or not. My larger goal for the school is to get students interested in sports when they are young so that they've learned the basics before they get to middle school!"
