Are you ready to roll up your sleeves and make a significant impact on our children's playground experience? We are thrilled to extend a special invitation to you for an exclusive Playground Mastermind Community Coffee!

Date: March 20, 2024 Time: 8-9am Location: Seven Oaks Library

As we embark on our exciting new Playground Fundraising Initiative, we recognize the invaluable expertise and creativity within our parent community. This Community Coffee is not just a gathering; it's a dynamic forum for parents who are eager to contribute their skills and ideas towards fundraising efforts.

We are seeking parents who are:

• Experienced in soliciting businesses

• Seasoned fundraisers

• Go-getters with a passion for making a difference

• Able to think outside the box and innovate

• Experience with Event Planning

• Part of community networking groups

If you see yourself fitting into any of these categories, we warmly invite you to join us. Together, we can brainstorm innovative strategies, leverage our collective networks, and unlock the full potential of our Playground Fundraising Initiative.

While the Initial Preregistration Period has ended, you can still register. If a seat is available, you will be notified, if not, you will be put on the waitlist.

All returning students must register by midnight to secure their seat for the 2024-2025 academic year.

We have scheduled two mornings for prospective Kindergarteners (ages 4 and above) to step inside classrooms, “shadow” beside Seven Oaks students, and follow along with teachers’ lessons!

Shadow Days:

Each Shadow Day will last from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

Come visit our classrooms on a Spring Shadow Day for Grades 1-11! Your children can experience what it’s like to attend school at Seven Oaks.

This semester, we have scheduled two mornings for prospective students to step inside classrooms, “shadow” a student ambassador the whole time, sit at their own desks, and follow along with teachers’ lessons!

Reserve a space for each student in grades 1-11 below

Tuesday, February 20 - 7:50-10:30 a.m.

What happens on Shadow Day?

First, Dr. Stephen Shipp, Headmaster, will welcome families and students all together.

Next, each visiting student will be partnered with Seven Oaks Student Ambassadors who will accompany them all morning. Shadowing students will be matched with Ambassadors in their own current grades (1st through 11th grade).

Teachers will welcome the student visitors in each classroom. They will invite the shadowing students to participate in the day’s lessons, according to their own comfort level.

Then, Dr. Shipp will give parents an in-depth introduction to the classical curriculum and answer your questions about life at Seven Oaks. Finally, you will get to tour the school and see the classrooms where your children are shadowing.

Visiting students are free to wear their regular school clothes. Children who are shadowing in grades 1-8 should bring athletic shoes for physical education and a coat & gloves for outdoor recess. Children visiting in grades 1-2 should also bring a mid-morning snack.

Like you, we believe that a solid early education can change the trajectory of a child’s life. We would like to give you and your family an opportunity to visit Seven Oaks. To that end, we are hosting a Kindergarten Preview for families with preschool-aged children.

The Kindergarten Preview is on January 17, 2024, from 4:00-5:00 p.m. The goal is to introduce local families to our school community, curriculum, and kindergarten faculty so that they are better equipped to choose the best available option for their child. If you have a child entering Kindergarten in the Fall of 2024, please join us for this event.
