BM, Music in Musical Theatre, Catholic University of America

Ms. Holland is a graduate of the Catholic University of America’s Benjamin T. Rome School of Music. Since graduating, she has worked as an actor, stage manager, musician, and teacher. Ms. Holland has worked as a teaching artist and the Education Manager at Windy City Music Theatre, where she had the joy of directing fully produced musicals for students in grades K-12. She has three years of experience teaching after school programs.

At Seven Oaks, Ms. Holland has developed the Seven Oaks Music & Theatre program since the school opened. Her Musical Theatre Club, which drew the highest number of student participants in 2017-2018, produced Annie last spring. For the 2018-2019 academic year, Ms. Holland and her students are working on a production of The Sound of Music. In addition to teaching music, Ms. Holland has enhanced student life by creating the school Spelling Bee and spearheading the middle and upper school Black & White dance. She also oversees the school's extracurricular activities and clubs. As Dean of Student Life, Ms. Holland looks forward to enhancing student life and the experience of students at Seven Oaks.

I love music! I have the opportunity to spend all day teaching 5-15 year-olds about beauty and, in doing that, make the world more beautiful. That’s awesome! I love teaching performance because I have been blessed to know the unparalleled feeling of audience applause in my own life, and I have seen the transformative effect that working hard on a concert/show has on a child.
