Battle of the Badges 2019

The Fourth Annual Battle of the Badges takes place this Saturday, September 28, at 4:30 p.m. The event is open to the community. Admission is free.

The Ellettsville Police and Fire Departments will compete on the historic Seven Oaks court to determine the 2019 Battle of the Badges Champions!

This is a fun annual basketball game between our local heroes, Team Fire Department and Team Police Department.

Seven Oaks and the PTCA will honor our heroes by donating 75% of the proceeds from the event to the charity chosen by the winning team.

 And, there’s more!

·       Touch-a-Truck! Get an inside look at Police and Fire vehicles!

·       All children will receive a raffle ticket for a chance at our halftime free throw contest!

·       Purchase a Team Fire (red) or Team Police (blue) shirt to show your support!

·       Grab a snack from our concession stand!

Battle of the Badges recognizes and honors the men and women among us who put their lives on the line daily to keep our community safe. We love to give back to those who give so much to our community!

Come out and support our hometown heroes!

Literacy Night

Parents are invited to a special presentation by our Curriculum Specialist, Mrs. Rachel James, about the Seven Oaks orthography program for children in Grades K – 5. Orthography includes spelling, reading, and writing. Mrs. James will also share how to promote literacy at home with your children.

What do children need to read well?

How does literacy orthography work?

What can I do at home to help my child?

What qualifies as a good book?

The program begins at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 26. We will meet in the Music Room on the second floor.
