Mrs. Walcott was an elementary teacher in Spencer-Owen Community Schools for two years. There, she taught reading intervention and fifth grade at McCormick's Creek Elementary School. Mrs. Walcott has also taught music, a third/fourth grade split class, fourth grade, and fifth grade at Stinesville Elementary School in the Richland-Bean Blossom Community Schools district for seven years.

Mrs. Walcott is married to Andrew Walcott, and they celebrated twenty-three years together this October. They have two daughters. Their oldest is Mrs. Rebecca Chesser, who is a substitute teacher and volleyball club sponsor at Seven Oaks. She is working toward her degree in Elementary Education. Their second, Elizabeth, is a senior at Owen Valley High School and is very active in sports and choir. Elizabeth plans on attending ISU and pursuing a career in nursing. The Walcott family is very active with their church and church family at Pleasant Hill Community Church.

Why I Teach

"I am passionate about teaching and sharing my lifelong love of learning with others. I want to help shape and mold future adults and leaders. I feel you should never stop learning, and I am ready to share my knowledge with students while learning from them as well."
